Compiled Daily Data Snapshot with Date When Date Was Collected in SQL
Hi everybody,
Is there a way in Power Query wherein I can get the data in SQL once a day and add a column in Power Query to show when that data was collected.
Then append that data to the data collected from previous days?
For example I have the following data in SQL for these days and when they were collected:
The latest data will be appended to the previous collected data. There should be a column wherein it indicates when that data was collected in SQL. Here is what the appended table looks like:
Is there anyway to do this in Power Query without manually updating it everyday?
Appreciate your kind assistance/advise.
Best regards,
Mark V

Hi, unfortunately this is not supported by Power BI.
You can do this online in Fabric (but you need Fabric Licence) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E5axX6auBN4&ab_channel=AmitChandakLearnMicrosoftFabric%2CPowerBI%2CSQL or

I think here they discuss it: https://community.fabric.microsoft.com/t5/Service/Data-snapshot-using-Power-BI-Incremental-refresh/m-p/2684063
Kudos appreciated 🙂
