Combining tables from an HML email attachment

Hello,

I have a small issue regarding one of my queries.

Target : pull all data (multiples tables) from an HTML file sent daily to email adresse.

Email : outlook exchange

File : HTML file with multiple tables.

Challenge:

1) I am succefully connecting to the outlook exchange.

2) I am succefully drilling down in the attachment.

Problem is coming after, as there are multiple tables, (variable depending on day), one query only allows me to pull one table.

Is there a way around ?
I can append all tables and create X queries but looking if there is an easiest solution.

Thanks

Kind regards
Vivasss

Hi @Anonymous ,

When you connect to Microsoft Exchange in power query, you can filter the daily HTML file in the attachement field first after you expand it.

Then you can click the down arrow to combine these files without appending them one by one.

Can you provide an example/mock html file with multiple tables so a specific solution can be suggested?  Also, this might be a good application for Power Automate with a Flow that is triggered off receipt of the email with your HTML file that then moves the data to another format/location (e.g., csv on SharePoint) prior to Power BI ingestion.
