Clicking on the Expanded table setting is DOOM.
Is it just me, or does everyone's Excel freeze when you are unlucky enough to click the settings wheel at the ExpandTableColumns step while the query is refreshing? I've finally had enough of losing ...
Anonymous That's because you aren't working on them big old complex queries! But yeah, any query that's moderately memory intensive, refresh it in the power query view, and then click on that gear. You'll have to use Task Manager close Excel; it will never respond. This has been happening with at least the last two years' versions of power query in Excel. I'll be clicking through the steps (as one tends to do), and hit the gear and then realize what I've done, and that I've now lost everything.
