Clean up personal Gateway

Hello, i tried the personal Gateway for power bi and the first time i tried it it worked perfectly. Now i wanted to install on the real pc i needed a connection to but it doesnt show up in gateways...

    Hi Flocke_93 

    To fix the Personal Gateway issue:

    • Uninstall the Gateway: Remove it via Control Panel.
    • Delete Residual Files:Delete C:\Users\<YourUserName>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\On-premises Data Gateway.
    • Stop and delete any remaining gateway services (services.msc > stop service > sc delete <ServiceName>).
    • Remove Old Config from Power BI Service:Go to Settings > Manage Gateways in Power BI Service.
    • Delete the old gateway entry.
    • Reinstall the Gateway:Download and install the latest version.
    • Set it up as a new configuration.
    • Test Connection: Check if it appears under Manage Gateways in Power BI Service.

    This ensures a fresh setup without old configurations.
