Change Type not converting to number anymore

Hi all,   hope someone can help. We didn't use to have this problem but it suddenly occurs now.   We have exchange rates coming in as text and they don't convert to numbers anymore. Our settings ...

    Hi Ruta,

     

    The settings that you have referenced are for DAX formulas, nothing to do with Power Query.

    PQ formats are governed by the Regional settings. Go to File > Options & Settings > Options and check your setup here:

     

     

    ...and here:

     

     

    Note that you will have to close down Power BI Desktop and restart it for Regional Settings changes to take effect.

Hi Pete,

 

I have tried this and it is the same outcome. Not converting with a '.' but converting with a ',' but in the settings it is set to have '.' as decimal separator.

 

Any other ideas?
