Cannot retrieve data from SSAS with permission ove...

Hi all,

I have a SQL Server Analysis Services Database running on-premises.

I created a Role, and specified only one measure that role can access:

If I use the Import mode when connecting to that cube, it works fine, I see data correctly under the measure where the permission is given, and I don't see data in other measures:

The problem is when I want to use Live Connection mode, I get the following error:

Also, it get stacked in that message, if I click on Cancel, the message keeps appearing over and over.

Can you help me? Does someone has a solution to this?

Hi @gonzalopiskorz,

By my tests with connecting SSAS which configured with RLS by live connection and import mode, everything works as expected.

What kind of your credential when you use live connection?

Please create a measure with USERNAME() to get your current windows credential and check if this accout have permissions to access the data source in SSAS?
