Cannot connect to database after 1 failed login attempt

Hi,

I tried to connect to an SQL server database and had chosen the wrong login.  I would like to reconnect with the correct login, but whenever I enter the server and database, I am immediately directed to the error message (Details: "Microsoft SQL: A connection was successfully established with the server, but then an error occurred during the login process. (provider: SSL Provider, error: 0 - The certificate chain was issued by an authority that is not trusted.)"), while I would like to change my login credentials.  As I was not able to connect, this data source is also not visible in the Data source settings, so I cannot edit it there.  Thanks for your help.

Kind regards,

Evelien

  • Hi Evelien ,

It should still be in your Global Permissions list.

Go to Data Source Settings in Power Query. At the top of the dialog, you should see two radio buttons: 'Data sources in current file', and 'Global permissions'. Select this second one, find your source, then either clear the permissions entirely and re-do them, or edit them with the correct credentials.
