Can On-Premises Data Gateway be set up on a Server?

Is it possible to set up Power BI On-Premises Data Gateway on a server and then access this Gateway using a client machine that is within the same network?

I do not want the scenario where I am reliant on a client machine being 'always on' when I use a Data Gateway to bring back live data.
