Can I dynamically refresh a table from a value that the user has chosen on a slicer?

Your source table (the one feeding the slicer) should be in import mode.
The data table must be in Direct Query mode.
Yes, you just need to use a cube formula to pick up the value that is selected from the slicer. Use that value as a variable by using "Get Data" from worksheet.
