Good afternoon everyone. I am trying to connect to a Google sheet file online. I have already set the sheet to public sharing and when I try and connect with the Get Data->Web option it isn't working. When I open up web view, the Power BI preview shows that I need to update my browser? I currently have my default browser as Google Chrome and it is completely updated. I found another post with the problem on a different forum (https://community.smartsheet.com/discussion/83048/power-bi-connector-your-browser-is-not-supported), but am not finding the options under security for adjusting the default browser in Power BI. I am currently using Windows 10 on my computer, could this be the problem? I'd rather not update to 11 though...
A picture of what I am seeing:
Thanks!
Austin
Hi @austin745
Windows 10 is ok. You may refer to the following blog to see if there is any step missed.
Connect Google Sheets to Power BI: An Easy Guide (hevodata.com)
For the default web browser option in Power BI Desktop, please go to File > Options and settings > Options, then go to Security tab understand Global and select "Use my default web browser" option.
Alternatively, you can try the Google Sheets connector in Power BI. It is generally available now. Power Query Google Sheets connector - Power Query | Microsoft Learn

Thank you for the response. The same problem is coming up with the default web browser option checked, so this does not appear to be the solution. As for the Google Sheets connector, it is not recognizing the web URL for the google sheet. I saw a guide somewhere that added something to the end of the URL to make the connector recognize the link, but I cannot remember what it was and there was some other error that came up anyways later. I look forward to any response on a further way to proceed.
