Azure Cost Management Connector & AWS Cost Management Connector

Hi there,

I am working with a multi-cloud org who is trying to view their Azure and AWS costs in Power Bi.

We have a working dashboard in Power BI using the Azure cost management connector https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-query/connectors/azure-cost-management.

We have also setup an AWS integration https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/cost-management-billing/costs/aws-integration-set-up-configu...

However, I cannot see the AWS costs which are visible in Azure Cost Management in Power BI desktop.

Can someone please confirm if this is possible? We are using the "usage details" report from Azure Cost Management Connector.

Thanks

Hi, @RoskBI

yes, it is possible. According to this MS  learn doc you  need a EA or MCA account for that. make sure you are using the correct account type and correct role to implement this setup.

Also make sure your data is not more than 1 milion, because data request more than 1 milion rows is not supported by PBI.

refer: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/connect-data/desktop-connect-azure-cost-management

Also make sure you are using the right scope to view AWS data. available scopes are

hope this will help.

Hi thank you for your response and sorry for the delay.

I appreciate your help. I understand we view AWS costs in Azure Cost Management (through the Azure Portal).

However, we are trying to see AWS costs in Power Bi Desktop using the Azure Cost Management connector.

Our logic was that we assumed because we can see our AWS costs in Azure, we should also be able to see these costs in Power Bi using the connector, however, we cannot seem to find them.

Any further advice?

Thanks,

Matt
