Azure APP insight Query API Limit in Power BI
Hello Team,
I have more than 0.5 million records in my application Insight. When I am trying to get the data from application insights using query api, according to below the microsoft documents (https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/azure-monitor/service-limits#user-query-throttling) it has the 0.5 million data record limit but In power bi I am only able to get 0.35 million records and my power bi report size is under 3 MB only.
1)Why I am not able to get atleast 0.5 million record in power bi according to documents?
2) How I can get all application insight data incremently which is around 2 million record in power bi?

1. There may be many factors, you could check the query log to find the cause.

2.There are three methods of exporting Application Insights data to Power BI:
- Export Analytics queries. This is the preferred method. Write any query you want and export it to Power BI. You can place this query on a dashboard, along with any other data.
- Continuous export and Azure Stream Analytics. This method is useful if you want to store your data for long periods of time. If you don't have an extended data retention requirement, use the export analytics query method. Continuous export and Stream Analytics involves more work to set up and additional storage overhead.
- Power BI adapter( is now deprecated). The set of charts is predefined, but you can add your own queries from any other sources.
