Hi Hendrik_LI ,
You don't mention it, but I'm assuming you still schedule at least a daily refresh in the Service for your Direct Query reports?
Even if all fact and dimension tables are running on Direct Query, queries like the one you've provided will require a traditional scheduled refresh in order to update.

Hi Hendrik_LI - I trying to understand what you mean by "Direct Query". DQ will be applicable to external sources like SQL Server. It would not be appropriate for "Power Query" script like this script avisingh. This query will be imported into the Data Model. Because it is imported, you will need to republish the Dataset as least once a year to add the new current year.
