Automating dashboard screenshot export to a directory (preferably with python)

I am Rahat. I work for the Informatics team of the South Dakota Department of Health. Currently, we are working on fighting against the COVID 19. We needed to develop API (preferably with python) to automate the export of dashboard screenshots as images into a local directory. We use these screenshots for regular monitoring of the COVID 19 situation for our decision making. So it would be a great help if you could share codes (preferably of python) to develop the system. We know about the PowerBI Robot for automating reports. But we are unable to use it for privacy concerns. Sincerely, Rahat Mahmud ELR, South Dakota Department of Health.

Not sure what you mean by the Power BI robot, but have you considered publishing your report and then using the Subscribe feature, which will send you an image of the report page each day after refresh?  You could then use Power Automate to take the image from that daily email, and save it to your desired location.

If this works for you, please mark it as the solution.  Kudos are appreciated too.  Please let me know if not.

    Regards,

    Pat

      Hi Pat,

Thank you so much for the hint. For the privacy concerns of the citizens personal information, we are not able to publish it. We use internal intranet to share the screenshots. Power BI has a feature called robot for automating the screenshots. I am sorry for the late response :).

      Take care,

      Rahat
