Are all PDF can be processed through PQ

Hi,

 

I have a supplier who sends me invoices by PDF through e-mail. I have managed to process all invoices through PQ and had a clear table in Excel with dates, invoice numbers and so

Recently, they have lightly updated their invoices and, but enough to mess my transfromations, and not it is quite hard for me to re-process new invoices and all my history is kind of lost unless I keep two Excel files.

Any chance someone can give me a hand to process them ? I am not sure how to share some files, it does include the supplier and customer...

    Are there a lot of changes between the files? Do you need any new fields?

    If the answer is no to these questions, I would suggest the following approach:

    • Keep your history table as is.
    • Transform and structure the new PDF file so it matches the structure of your history table.
    • Once both tables have the same structure (i.e., the same column names), you can then append the new data to your history table.

    If you'd like, you can share anonymized files, and I can take a look.

    Thanks for reaching out to the Microsoft fabric community forum.

     Cookistador mentioned a valuable approach, you could also slightly vary their approach by modifying the existing table (history table) to match the new the structure of your invoice data and then append the new data to history data.
    You can transform either table to match the other's structure choose the one that's simpler and easier to adjust for consistency

      I will try and make PDF anonyms, but this is will take long. I have an advanced level on PQ and my main challenge is to identify a pattern. That's why I need help from the forum form M killer because I struggle a bit
