Apply query changes not working

Power BI do this when I apply the changes I added to the query.  The loading pop up window is grey and seems to not work.

Hey there!

Some possible causes could be large dataset size, corrupted queries, or system issues.

If there are multiple applied steps in Power Query, try:
- Go to "Transform Data" → "Power Query Editor".
- Click "Close & Apply" one step at a time to identify the issue.
- If Power BI crashes on a specific step, remove or simplify that step.

You can also try Clear Cache & Restart Power BI

- Go to File → Options & Settings → Options.
- Under Global → Data Load, click Clear Cache.
- Restart Power BI and try again.

Hoep this helps!

😁😁

Please try the following actions:

- Check for Pending Queries – See if any query is stuck in refresh.
- Restart Power BI – Close and reopen to reset the session.
- Check Data Source Connection – Ensure the source is accessible.
- Try Refreshing Individually – Refresh one query at a time.

If my answer helped solve your issue, please consider marking it as the accepted solution.

Thank you. I'll try these solutions. I think it's because of the large data set. For now, I am saving the query then apply changes later. I will try to clear cache as well.
