Applied Steps and Re-quering Data Source
Using Power Query, each time you change a field type or expand a column does the step result in the data source being re-queried? Steps: connect to a data source filter rows change column type...
Usually one (there are some exceptions for schema retrieval - https://blog.crossjoin.co.uk/2020/07/05/why-is-power-bi-running-my-sql-query-twice/ )
BUT- oftentimes it also results in zero queries for some steps when Query Folding is active. That means any previous steps are combined into one native query.
