Hi Everyone,
I am running into a refresh data issue in Power Query.
Background:
Appending from a folder. This document shows my steps.
These are the first three files I used to upload.
After appending these files, I added a new file to the folder.
But I got this error.
Verified that all files are tables.
Here are the steps I took to append the first three files. Pages 1 -8
Bottom of page 8 - 11 documents the process to bring in a new file into the folder. It also shows my troubleshooting steps.
Please let me know what steps I can take to correct this error.
Thank you,
Luis
In your documentation Word doc, you have "Replace Judy Tutor log" with Source.Name. It now needs to be replace Hailey.
When you add Hailey's file to the folder, and then sort alphabetically, Hailey's is now the first file. So now you have to replace Haily Tutor Log instead of Judy Tutor Log.

Hi @Anonymous -
I was able to refresh the folder in Power Query.
It is all good until I get to the Changed Type1.
I must delete each step after Change Type1 to make the append from the folder work.
I thought append from folder would make it more automatic.
I must be missing something.
Luis
Hi @Anonymous ,
super helpful. I Can follow your logic. But I have a question on the execution.
where do I replace Judy for hailey?
Luis
