Appending Queries and adding Source-Query Name (query list too long for manual input)
Hi,
I'm appending a very long list of queries (60+), with complex names. In the Append1 result table, I would like to still be able to filter between the original queries.
Does anyone know a way to avoid having to manually add a new Source.Query column with a custom string with the name, for each query?
Thanks,
Pietro
Hi Anonymous
you could create some M-code that generates a table with the column names:
let Source = #table({"Query", "Sourcename"}, { {#"Table", "Table"}, {#"Table2", "Table2"} }) in SourceThen expand out the fields from the columns.
Usually, one would go the other way around and start from a table with the source names (and the connection to their sources), apply a function that transforms them all and expands the column there.
