An operation that uses the database driver could not be completed

When I searched for Microsoft Query to reinstall - I found Power Query and that Power Query as a separate add-in has been deprecated from office 365 (I'm on Windows 11).

Any ideas what needs to be done to be able to access my PBI datasource with excel in the context of this error message?

Thank you.  Between when I sent my error and now some updates have been pushed to my system, and now my power query is working as expected.  Thank you very much for the confirmation and troubleshooting / resolution steps.

The error here is an issue with the database driver when trying to connect excel to your power bi data source. Given that power query is now integrated directly into excel and the standalone power query add-in has been deprecated, here are some steps to resolve the issue:

• Open excel, go to the Data tab, under the "Get & Transform Data" group, you should see options like "Get Data" or "From Power Query." If not available ensure that excel is up to date.
• The issue might be related to missing or corrupted drivers required for the connection. Download and install the latest version of Microsoft Access Database Engine Redistributable from the Microsoft download center. Choose the 64-bit version if using 64-bit office.
• Although power query is the modern solution, Microsoft Query might still be used for legacy connections. go to File > Options > Add-ins. under "Manage," select COM Add-ins and click Go. Ensure that any required database-related add-ins are enabled.
• Try reconnecting to your power bi dataset, go to Data > Get Data > From Power BI. Sign in with your microsoft 365 credentials if prompted. Ensure the workspace and dataset permissions are properly configured in power bi.
• Check if the required drivers like SQL server, Access, etc., are correctly installed and configured. If not reinstall the necessary drivers.
• Verify the dataset which is shared is accessible in power bi service under the correct workspace. And ensure that you have signed in with the correct microsoft 365 account in excel. 
• Repair office/excel installation, go to Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features. Select microsoft office, click Change, and perform a Quick Repair or Online Repair.
