Hi all,
I am wondering if the function "embedd PowerBi in Powerpoint" is only available for users with emailadresses within my company domain?
Because for all these users it works fine.
But users with external email adresses get a failure message like Entity not found. But these users do have access to the app and can see the report, only the embedding in powerPoint fails.
We have Premium Capacity and in the settings this is toggled to whole organization:
Do you know which settings I have to change, so that external Users can embedd in PowerPoint as well?
Kind Regards
Eva
The ability to embed Power BI content in PowerPoint is a feature that is available to users with a Power BI Pro or Power BI Premium license. It is designed to work with email addresses within the same organization.
To allow external users to embed Power BI content in PowerPoint, the following steps should be taken:
Make sure that the external users have been granted access to the Power BI app and have been added to the app as members with the correct permissions.
Ensure that the Power BI Premium capacity that is being used has been configured to allow external sharing. This can be done by navigating to the settings of the Power BI Premium capacity and enabling the option for "Allow external sharing"
If you are using Power BI Report Server, check that the external users have been granted access to the report server, and that the report server has been configured to allow external sharing
Verify that the external users have the correct licenses for Power BI Pro or Power BI Premium
Make sure that the external users are using the latest version of PowerPoint
Check that the external users are using a supported browser
Please make sure that your external user has an Power BI Pro license and they have the correct permissions to access the reports.
