Clarity on Publishing / Refreshing Data from BI Desktop

Hi All!

Im fairly fresh to the Platform so simplified advice would be greatly appreciated!

So, I have a BI Desktop file that:

  1. Queries some data with stored procedures in our On-Premise SQL Database.
  2. Transfoms and Shapes Data into multiple Reference Queries.

I have a Power App that I am developing to keep track of some production info within our organization. It connects to Sharepoint for some of its Data, but I also need the BI Tables in a gallery inside the Power App.

So the questions I have are:

  1. When I publish the "Report/Dataset" from Desktop to "MyWorkplace", How can I retreive that Dataset in "MyWorkplace" to use in my Power Apps Gallery? Is that even possible?
  2. How do I go about refreshing the Data in Power BI Desktop to then refresh the "MyWorkplace" Dataset so that my Power App Data is updated with refreshed Data?
  3.  Am I going about this the wrong way? Is the Platform not meant to be used in this way?

Any advice on how to go about these steps or suggetions on another way to accomplish this goal?

I have though about just using a dashboard with some Power App Visuals but I would prefer to have the Data inside an App instead.

Thanks again for having me in the community and for any and all feedback!
