The Windows installer for Analysis Services managed client libraries will be retired next year as these assemblies target .NET 4.5 which is no longer supported and upgrading the .msi release would result in a breaking change. The final release of the Windows installer (.msi) for the Analysis Services Management Objects (AMO) and ADOMD client libraries will be in July and it will remain available to download until 31 December 2024. Note that there is no change in the MSOLAP .msi distribution.
The AMO/TOM and ADOMD client libraries will continue to be available as installable packages from NuGet.org and will be the only release vehicle going forward for the managed client libraries. The new Nuget packages will contain all supported platforms and the older versions will not be updated after this release. Note that the package identity will not include the retail.amd64 suffix to make it clear that the package is independent of the CPU platform.
If you are using the old Nuget packages with the retail.amd64 suffix, be sure to change your package references to the new ones linked to above.
