On-premises_data_gateway_February_2022_update_is_now_available
Here are some of the things that we would like to highlight with this month’s release:
We are excited to release Azure Active Directory-based Single Sign-On (AAD SSO) for the Amazon Redshift connector, allowing you to use seamless single sign-on connectivity, enabling Power BI reports and dashboards to update in real time by configuring your on-premises data gateway. For more information, view our documentation on single sign-on capabilities or the Amazon Redshift connector
Hive LLAP and Tibco Data Virtualization – Kerberos-based Single Sign-On
We are also excited to release Kerberos-based Single Sign-On for the Hive LLAP and Tibco Data Virtualization connectors. To use this feature, log into your Power BI account, and navigate to the Gateway management page. Add a new data source under the gateway cluster you want to use, and select the connector in the “Data Source Type” list. Expand the “Advanced Settings” section and select the option to “Use SSO via Kerberos for DirectQuery queries”
For more information, visit our documentation on Kerberos-based single sign-on.
Compatible with September PBI Desktop
This version of the gateway will ensure that the reports that you publish to the Power BI Service and refresh via the Gateway will go through the same query execution logic/run-time as in the September Power BI Desktop version.
Please continue to send us feedback for what new capabilities you’d like to see in the future.
