 Compatible with February PBI Desktop

This version of the gateway will ensure that the reports that you publish to the Power BI Service and refresh via the Gateway will go through the same query execution logic/run-time as in the February Power BI Desktop version.

.Net Framework Update

The Gateway install will require .NET 4.8 framework in all versions from February 2021 and later. For information on what version of the .NET Framework is pre-installed with your operating system, consult the documentation here.

Deprecation Notice - Kerberos single sign-on (SSO) to SAP BW using gx64krb5

Microsoft is discontinuing support for the use of gx64krb5 while creating SAP BW data sources in Power BI, effective immediately. Existing connections will continue to work but you will not be able to create new connections anymore. Please use CommonCryptoLib instead .

Please continue to send us feedback for what new capabilities you’d like to see in the future.

Deprecation Notice - SAML single sign-on (SSO) to SAP HANA using OpenSSL

Microsoft is also discontinuing support for the use of OpenSSL while creating SAP HANA data sources in Power BI, effective immediately. Existing connections will continue to work but you will not be able to create new connections anymore. Please use CommonCryptoLib instead.

Please continue to send us feedback for what new capabilities you’d like to see in the future.
