The Power BI DataViz World Championships are in full swing, and while we’ve crowned our week 1 winner, there were so many amazing submissions that deserve a shoutout! These featured entries didn’t take the top spot, but their creativity, design, and data storytelling blew us away. Let’s dive into the incredible work from our participants, these entries are definitely worth celebrating!

The winning entry scored a 90%, and all entries in the top 10 scored 80% or above. Additionally, all of the entries in the top 10 designed for accessibility and focused on the scored elements like tab order, alt text, and color contrast.

The judges deliberated long and hard, and we had a few standouts that we want to share! Note that these are in no particular order.

Most accessible reports

We had 5 reports that got a perfect score for accessibility! This means they set tab order properly for readers using keyboard navigation, they added alt text to all visuals, and they designed reports that had accessible color contrast, meeting the WCAG color contrast ratios.  There is a LOT more that goes into designing for accessibility, this is just what we decided to score for this contest.

• Valentines Sales Dashboard by PorcuBI - this report used dynamic subtitles that doubled as alt text, very creative!
