🏆 Power BI Data Visualization World Championships | How to Submit

Would you like to participate in the Power BI DataViz World Championships? This post walks you through how to submit.

1. You must be a member of the community to submit. Join the community by selecting register in the top right-hand corner of the screen. Sign in with your Microsoft account or create one.
   
   
   
   
2. Read through each weekly challenge to understand what to expect. Be sure to read the requirements and judging criteria carefully.
   
   
3. Navigate to the Contests Gallery and select Submit to contest.
   
   
4. Fill in all required fields including:
   
   
   • Title: Give your entry a descriptive title
   • Power BI Publish to Web URL: include this if you have it, but it's not mandatory.
   • Description: Tell readers what your report is about.
   • Category: This is required and you only have one choice, DataViz World Championship
   • Allowed attachments: upload your .pbix file here. Note that this is not required if you include a publish to web URL.
   • Thumbnail image: add an image. This will be the image displayed on the main gallery page
      

     

5. Select Publish.

• Note that entries go through a moderation process, so they may not instantly appear in the gallery. Please allow an hour for your entry to appear.

I have tried to make my publication several times but each time it appears "Marked as spam" I don't understand if I am doing something wrong, I have followed all the steps of the publication

Hello,  I submitted an entry last night (Feb 27) for Week 2 - my title was "The Appalachian Trail:  A Hike in Data".  The submission appeared to go through fine, but I did not see it in the gallery this morning.  I just want to confirm it went through or if I need to resubmit.  Thank you!

Good morning.  I am trying to publish my Travel submission, but the form says that my .pbix file is too large.  I am getting an error that the maximum file size is 47MB.  I was under the impression that the limit for publishing publically was 1GB.  My organization will not allow us to publish publically from our accounts.  Is 47MB the limit for a .pbix file for this competition?  Thank you!

Hello - I've just submitted my entry "Week 2 - Voyage Interrupted - Decoding the Fate of Passengers on the Titanic" I've added a Power BI Publish to Web URL but unforunately the report is not displaying in the frame.  Can you let me know if I'm doing something wrong?  Or is this part of the moderation process?

UPDATE: I was doing something wrong - I pasted the wrong URL.  All sorted now.  Please ignore.

I attempted the upload at 7 AM, 12 PM, and 1 PM (French time).
