Happy Pi Day! In addition to Albert Einstein’s birthday, it’s time to celebrate pi (π). Yes, pi (π) – that funny looking Greek letter that represents the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter. No matter the size of the circle, you can divide the distance around it by the distance across and get the same number 3.14159265..., approximated as 3.14159. Most people shorten this to 3.14, which is why Pi Day is celebrated on March 14 (3/14). Today! On this day we indulge in its nearest edible equivalent and food with the matching pronunciation, pie!
How does this relate to Power BI? What better way to celebrate than by making something in Power BI with a list of tasty pies (attached). You could make a graph, pie chart or an entire dashboard to celebrate pi day with pies! There are a lot of great ways to represent pies. Be creative and share your passion for this milestone math day and join in the Pi Day celebration. Attach a photo of what you create to this post by midnight on March 17th and be entered in a drawing for a t-shirt.
