CUSTOM GEOGRAPHIC MAP IN POWER BI

Challeneges we faced:

-Development of custome map is not a defualt feature in Power BI

-Maps with granularity of disctrict wise demarcations is not available out of the box

-Power BI utilizes TOPOJSON file to plot geographic map rather than GEOJSON

 

How we solved it:

-Customized Maps in Power BI using Shape Map

-District level granularity was implemented with their arcs

-Converted of GeoJSON to TopoJSON using mapshaper

-It can be used to plot custom Maps of any territory, region in any country worldwide
