Thank you to everyone who participated in Week 2 of the Power BI Dataviz World Championships! Each week of this competition brings something new, and this one was no exception. We continue to be blown away by the time, thoughtfulness, and creativity that our community pours into these challenges.
This weekโs entries showed a noticeable shift in format: many creators embraced longโform storytelling, multiโsection layouts, and more narrativeโdriven designs. We also continued to see remarkable attention to accessibility, with several entries earning perfect accessibility scores - a huge testament to the care YOU bring to inclusive design. Please be sure to check out this week's entries - I am SO inspired to implement some of this beautiful design into my own work.
@ruxandravilau's beautifully crafted longโform report stood out immediately for its clarity, elegance, and depth. It weaves together complex climate indicatorsโsuch as sea level rise and temperature changeโinto a unified narrative that feels both compelling and intuitive to explore.
What made this entry shine:
Ruxandra's entry raised the bar for narrativeโdriven reporting and set a fantastic example of how to create meaningful, accessible data experiences.
Nayara's report wowed the judges with its meticulous layout, thoughtful visual hierarchy, and standout tutorial page. Nayara creator brings an elevated design aesthetic that feels modern and immersive while still maintaining strong accessibility fundamentals (and a request for feedback!). Nayara demonstrated how far thoughtful UI choices can take a Power BI report.
After a week full of richly layered entries, Sergio's report offered a refreshing sense of clarity. With clean pages, intuitive navigation, and focused visual choices, it made complex climate concepts feel approachable. The scenario analysis in particular was engaging and easy to follow.
Santhana Lakshmi's report impressed the judges with its animated introduction and the way it walked viewers through causeโandโeffect relationships in the climate data. The layout guided the viewer stepโbyโstep, helping create an insightful journey through the metrics. Congratulations on being in the top entries 2 weeks in a row!
Mariam's entry featured striking design elementsโcarefully styled cards, layered gradients, and a strong sense of visual rhythm. The structured layout and use of emphasis helped draw the viewer naturally into the most important metrics.
A huge thank you to every creator who submitted a report this week. Your work continues to inspire people around the world. We see the late nights, the experimentation, the learning, the creativity, and the care that goes into every entry.
