issues cancelling pipelines
Hi,
The monitoring hub also does not have a way to cancel a running pipeline. The ones from yesterday did stop but they had a run time for over 8hours before they failed.
I just restarted one and tried to click through on the pipeline which is not possible for pipelines, I can do this on Power BI datamodels refereshes. All I can open is the run history, which also does not have an option to cancel a run.
So as far as I can tell there isnt a way to cancel a run currently.
Would you mind filling a support case for this? Include the pipeline run id. We'll need engineering to track this one down.
Sorry for the inconvience. Thank you!

You may not be able to cancel the pipeline run from Monitoring Hub directly like other cancelling report refreshes, however if you open the pipeline run from the Monitoring Hub, you will be taken into a view of the pipeline run, which shows cancel button on the top. That should work, can you please try that ?
Snapshot below. Note that in my case, the run is already cancelled so the button is greyed out. But if your runs are in progress, it will be active.

I got a response from engineering saying currently it wasnt possible to cancel runs.
I regards of causing the 8 hour runs they gave some potential issues what is causing it. So I got some pointers to start seeing if I can fix the issue now.

I faced the same issue today. Only other information I can give is that the pipeline I couldn't cancel is the child pipeline. I had cancelled the outer pipeline (2 layers out) but when I check into each layer, I found that the inner child layer was still running and when I tried to cancel it, it just throws a pop up stating that action had failed but when I clicked on "more details" it just shows "unknown"...
