copy data activity stuck on queued

Hi All, I have a number of json files in a lakehouse, which i need to ingest into a lakehouse table, so i can transform them to be used by powerbi. This is normaly a very straightforward action, but not this time

The step that reads the json files in the lake house and inserts it into a lakehouse table, jumps instanly to queued and stays there. I am not using any on prem gateway, this is straight in the cloud itself.

I have already tried limiting the numder of json files to just a few

What is happening here and more importantly how can i get that step to run?

edit: I did take out a few columns from the mapping, since i am not interested in them (they contained links to previous and next page), could that cause it?

Thanks

Hans

Cheers

1 ACCEPTED SOLUTION

I ended up recreating the activity from scratch, after eliminating a potentail corruption in the json file. This eventually got it moving

Hi @smeetsh

Thanks for uisng Microsoft Fabric Community.

There might be a chance of an intermittent issue could you please follow the below steps that might help you.

Temporary Glitch: Clearing cookies and caches can sometimes resolve temporary glitches within the application that might be causing the issue.

Corrupted Data: In rare cases, corrupted data stored in the browser's cache related to Microsoft Fabric might be causing the issue. Clearing the cache removes this potentially problematic data.

Hard Refresh: A hard refresh bypasses the cached version of the webpage and forces the browser to download the latest version from the server. Press Ctrl+Shift+R (Windows) or Cmd+Shift+R (Mac).

Try Microsoft Edge: If you are currently using Chrome or Firefox, try switching to Microsoft Edge to see if the issue persists. Edge is the native browser for Microsoft products and might have better compatibility with Microsoft Fabric.

If the issue still persists, please do let us know. Glad to help.

I hope this information helps.

Thank you.
