Windows authentication not working for on-prem SQL Server for Copy activity
Greetings,
Fabric documentation on whether this is even supported is inconsistent. This page suggests it is and contradicts the previous page which suggests it isn't, so I decided to try it anyway and got the following error:
"Unable to create connection for the following reason: The on-premises data gateway's service account failed to impersonate the user.Details: opgw-dataplatform-prod-001: Received error payload from gateway service with ID 237858: Error logging on username 'domain\user'.. Please have this information handy if you choose to create a support ticket. Session Id: d0d25167-8196-44cc-8890-ee6a9891d680 RequestId: ecbf6c38-4789-43a0-85fe-174a97199992 Cluster URI:

We confirmed the credentials are correct through successfully connecting to the server on DBeaver.
We also created support ticket 2502241420003309.

Hi,
Microsoft Support confirmed that multiple customers are reporting this issue. We're not sure when this will be resolved and they advised us to post the issue here for visibility.
Based on the below post, this was working fine.
