SFTP connection fails

I am trying to grab files from an SFTP site using a pipeline and Copy Data task. This should be no-brainer. I set up the connection, then in the Manage Connections and Gateways, after refreshing the ...

    I put in a Retry setting of 3 and that seemed to help. With multiple files to process each time, it would maybe fail on SFTP on one file, then on the Lakehouse connection (permissions) on the next (yeah, I know, makes NO sense).

    FYI: I think the error messages did NOT line up with the actual cause of the failure but that was the closest the internal logic could come up with to report as the failure reason.
