Hi all,
I am looking for a solution to get the Workspace Name within a data pipeline. Currently I know it is possible to get the Workspace ID (screenshot attached) but I could not see any option to get the workspace name from the system variables.
Is there any options to get the Workspace Name dynamically ?
Thank you.

Hi,
Thank you for the reply.
Since the above didnt support as of now, I was trying to pass the workspace name as a parameter to the channel of Teams (Preview) activity and it is showing error on run (attaching screenshots below). But when I select the name of channel from the channel list, it will work.
I would like to pass the channel name into the teams using a parameter defined inside the pipeline. Is it posible ?
Thank you!

@ajomat - Not the solution you probably want but you should be able to use a Web Activity/Lookup Activity to make a call to the Fabric/Power BI API's and get the Workspace Name. I've used this from console apps when I was building RT data feeds so it definitely works.

Hi @ajomat
Thanks for using Fabric Community.
I have confirmed with the Internal team that this option is not supported yet. This is not on roadmap also.
However, your suggestion is definitely valuable! We use customer feedback like yours to prioritize future features. The more users who request the ability to customize backgrounds, the higher it moves on our list.
Appreciate if you could share the feedback on our Microsoft Fabric Ideas. Which would be open for the user community to upvote & comment on. This allows our product teams to effectively prioritize your request against our existing feature backlog and gives insight into the potential impact of implementing the suggested feature.
I hope this information helps. If you have any further queries please do let us know.
