Hi
May you please assist? I'm trying to migrate ADF pipelines to Fabric, and I am getting this error when trying to mount to the current workspace. Here is the error:
CompassAPICalls (Azure Data Factory) could not be mounted to the workspace (Fabric workspace): Request failed with 404(Not Found): {"error":{"code":"PowerBIFeatureDisabled","pbi.error":{"code":"PowerBIFeatureDisabled","parameters":{},"details":[],"exceptionCulprit":1}}}, requestid: 97e0f52b-8f95-cd73-d4f4-941de4f344ef

Hi @Siphesihle ,
The PowerBIFeatureDisabled error with a 404 when mounting ADF to a Fabric workspace almost always means Fabric features are not enabled in that workspace. Here's what to check:
1. Assign the workspace to a Fabric capacity
The target workspace must be assigned to a Fabric capacity (F-SKU or Fabric Trial) a standard Power BI Premium workspace won't work.
→ Go to Workspace Settings → Premium tab → select a Fabric capacity (not Power BI Premium P-SKU).
2. Enable Fabric at tenant level (if not done)
A Fabric admin may need to enable it first:
→ Admin Portal → Tenant settings → Microsoft Fabric section → "Users can create Fabric items" → Enable
3. Verify your license
You need either a Fabric Trial, Fabric capacity (F SKU), or a Microsoft 365 licence that includes Fabric. The Power BI Pro licence alone does not unlock Fabric Data Factory features.
Once the workspace is on a Fabric capacity and Fabric items are enabled at the tenant level, the migration tool should be able to mount your ADF pipelines without the 404 error.
Let us know which step resolves it for you!
Hi
The PowerBIFeatureDisabled (404) error when mounting an ADF pipeline to a Fabric workspace is almost always a tenant-level or workspace-level settings problem, not an issue with the pipeline itself.
Go to Fabric Admin Portal --> Tenant Settings
Find "Users can create Fabric items" and ensure it is enabled , either for the whole organisation or for the Entra group that includes your account
Also check "Data Factory" is not toggled off under workload-specific settings
