Same credentials are working with no issue for a Synapse Linked Services

Any ideas what could be causing this?

Hi @jbanas

Thanks for using Microsoft Fabric Community.

Apologies for the inconvenience that you are facing here.

I tried to repro the scenario for SFTP connection and connected successfully without any difficulty. Find the screenshot for reference.

I have verified the same with FileZilla and the connection was successful.

The error might be because of network connectivity issues.

Could you please ensure your local machine or the Fabric runtime environment has access to the SFTP server on the specified port (usually 22). Firewalls or network restrictions might be blocking the connection. Try testing the connection directly with an SFTP client like FileZilla to isolate the issue.

If the issue still persists please do let us know.

I hope this information helps.

Thanks.
