Copy data activity Oracle lakehouse : data type binary_double is transferred incorrectly

I want to transfer data from Oracle DB onprem to Lakehouse.

In the source, the number is displayed correctly in the preview:

After transfer to lakehouse the number is not correct:

Data type of the oracle source column is binary_double.

Does anyone have an idea what is going wrong here?

    Hi cw88

Thanks for using Microsoft Fabric Community.

When transferring data from an Oracle DB on-prem to a Microsoft Fabric Lakehouse, it’s essential to ensure that the data types are handled correctly. The issue you’re encountering might be related to the way the binary_double data type is interpreted during the transfer process.

Data Type Mapping: Verify that the data type mapping between Oracle’s binary_double and the corresponding data type in the Microsoft Fabric Lakehouse is accurate. Ensure that the binary_double data type is correctly mapped to the appropriate numeric data type (suggested to opt for decimal data type) in the Lakehouse.

For additional information please refer : Autogenerated data types in the SQL analytics endpoint

If the issue still persists, please do let us know. Glad to help.

    I hope this information helps.

    Thank you.
