I've verified that for connecting to a on-premise PostgreSQL source it occurs an on-premise data gateway.

Based on my understanding, an On Premises data gateway is needed to access any onprem source

Azure PostGre database doesnt need a gateway but the one hosted on On Prem would need a gateway
