The custom visual files are the . pbiviz files that contain codes to run custom visuals in your Power BI app. Developers create custom visual codes and package them in custom visual files having a . pbiviz extension. The report makers download these files into their system and use them in their Power BI reports.
Hi @Shahiiiid ,
Custom visuals in Power BI are user-defined visuals created to extend the default set of visuals provided by Microsoft. These visuals come in .pbiviz file format and are developed using JavaScript and TypeScript with the Power BI Visuals SDK. Developers build these when the standard visuals don't meet specific reporting or visualization needs—allowing for highly tailored and interactive data displays.
Once created, these visuals can be imported into Power BI Desktop by report creators and used just like built-in visuals. They can be sourced from the Microsoft AppSource marketplace or developed in-house, offering great flexibility for organizations looking to create unique, branded, or specialized analytics experiences.
