Set a default tab for viewing on mobile

Hi,

I've recently finished creating a suite of reports for my colleagues to use in Power BI desktop, however as the majority of these reports use large matrices, I've created a separate tab on them with different visuals to make a phone view. I there a way to show the main "Matrix Tab" by default on desktop, whilst showing the second "Phone Layout" tab by default when viewing from the mobile app?

Hey @JoshSHardscape,

You don't need to create a dedicated tab for phone. For each tab, you can create a phone/mobile layout, that is optimized for viewing in mobile apps. More details here: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/desktop-create-phone-report.

When you edit a phone layout, you have available all the visuals you created in the desktop view, and you can placed and resize them to optimize the view for phone. If you want to use different visuals in the phone layout, you will need to create and place them in the desktop view. Common practice is to minimize them in the desktop view to 1px. so they will not be visible.

Thanks for the reply, my problem was using different visuals on mobile to those on desktop but the solution of making them all 1px worked well.

Power bi not support to create multiple photo layout with visuals, if you designed phone layout, power bi will auto switch to phone layout when you view contents on power bi mobile app.
