Scroll horizontally instead of vertically

I have created a mobile version of Power BI report. Problem is it has the option of vertical swipe but not horizontal swipe. I want to allow users to scroll horizontally to move from one visual to another. How can I do so?

Hi @Diksha_2 ,

In the Power BI Mobile layout, reports are built for vertical scrolling only; horizontal scrolling between visuals isn’t supported in the optimized mobile view due to current limitations.

If you want users to navigate sideways, you have two strong options:

Create multiple report pages tailored for mobile. Users can easily swipe left or right between pages in the Power BI mobile app.
Bypass the mobile layout and open the desktop view in the app. This enables horizontal scrolling, though users may need to pinch or zoom for navigation.

To summarize, while horizontal scrolling isn’t available in mobile-optimized layouts, you can still deliver a similar experience through page swiping or by utilizing the desktop view.

Thank you,

Tejawi.

Hi @Diksha_2 ,

Thank you for your feedback. Currently, the Power BI mobile layout only supports vertical scrolling, and horizontal scrolling is not available in the current design. We agree that adding horizontal navigation could enhance the user experience and appreciate you bringing this to our attention.

We recommend submitting your suggestion to the Power BI Ideas Forum for our Product Team to review and consider in future updates. In the meantime, you may continue using the suggested workarounds, such as creating multiple mobile-optimized pages or switching to the desktop view within the mobile app.
