Powerbi refresh visuals and report on ipad app

Hi,

We have a report and dataset that refreshes every hour on PowerBi Service. However when displayed on the powerbi app or any browser on the ipad, the report visual and data will not refresh every hour, unless reopening the app or browser. Can the powerbi app refresh this every hour automatically?

Hi @v-shex-msft,

Prior to your response, we tested a solution using the Apple Shortcuts app on each of our iPad's. We created an hourly automation (1 automation for each hour of the day per iPad) that relaunches the Microsoft PowerBi App. This automation successfully refreshed the visual and data - happy days. It seems like you are view the cached data, you can take a look at the following document to know more of this feature:

View your data offline in the Power BI mobile apps - Power BI | Microsoft Learn

For this scenario, perhaps you can try to change to 'live' mode(direct query, live connection) connection to design report and power bi should display the latest data on your report.
