Hi,
We are considering sharing the Power BI dashboards & reports via the iPad, but we have concern regarding the security of the data o on the iPad. So I have a few questions..
- when Power BI is used on an iPad, is (and how is) the data encrypted on the iPad ?
- Is there an encryption key stored on the iPad to decrypt the data?
thanks..
Hans..

HI @Hans-Janssen ,
Yes, these data which you used on mobile devices has been encrypted and compressed. (I haven't found any document mentioned how compressed and encrypted)
Current power bi does not contain any options allow you to enter keys to release and view these records, you can only view these by power bi mobile app.
For security requirements, you can sign out your account and clean up the offline cache data.

Xiaoxin Sheng

Hi Xiaoxin Sheng,
thanks for your reply and clear answer.
Our Information Risk Management team is happy with your answer but would like to see (real) evidence.
So if there is more info/evidence/documents available to share by anyone hat would be much appreciated!
Many thanks,
Hans
