Hey!
I have a Power Apps visual in my Power BI app and the Power App works fine on web browser and mobile app but in the Windows app the visual is stuck on the loading phase. It does not give any error. Going through the Power Apps visual's documented limitations, I didn't see any direct comment that the Windows app would not be supported. Any idea is this something I can fix or is the visual not supported in the Windows app?
Hey @heidik ,
Thank you for reporting this.
The problem is with WebView technology which we are currently upgarding to WebView2. We hope to have it ready soon enough.
Meanwhile, I can offer you to get a private build and test it with your report and PowerApp visual. If you are interested please contact us using mpbisup@microsoft.com.
Regards, Maya
Thanks Maya for a quick reply! I'm glad to hear that the Power Apps visual will work in the Windows app in the future. Do you have any rough timeline when the WebView2 upgrade will be done? In my use case we are still in a PoC phase so if the upgrade is ready by the end of July, we can happily wait for that 🙂
