Mobile app not showing arrow characters

I have a few card visuals showing arrows in the reference labels, these are corect shown in Power BI Desktop (june 2024) and in the service.

But in the mobile app (both in landscape as portrait mode) the arrows are not shown correct.

In desktop and the service:

in the mobile app:

The used Font is Segoe UI Size 12

The used characters are:

VAR UpArrow = UNICHAR(129137)
VAR DownArrow = UNICHAR(129139)

I hope this is enough info to solve the issue.

Best regards,

Hi @mshenhav ,

Thanks for the reply! For now I used the [Win] + [.] key and selected ▲ and ▼ to be used in the reports, they are shown correct in desktop, service and the mobile app.

Best regards,

Twan

Hi @TwanVerdonschot,

According to your description, it seems like your device font missed some of characters so then display these specific characters as blank blocks.

What type of device, OS and PBI mobile app versions are you worked on? Have you test with other version and devices? Please share some more detail information about this issue and they will help us clarify your scenario and test to troubleshoot.

How to Get Your Question Answered Quickly

Hi @Anonymous,
I received the issue form a few colleagues, I have checked my own device. I am not sure what mobile devices they have, but here is my info:

  • Samsung galaxy S20 (SM-G981B/DS)
  • OS: Android 13
  • PBI mobile version: 21172937

I will send a questionere to my colleagues to get their information.

Best regards,

Twan Verdonschot
