Mapbox doesn't seem to be working currently... can anyone confirm?
I usually import my data from excel and plot the points on a Mapbox circle map, but this time, my lats and longs are coming from SQL (import mode) and there is nothing I can do to get them into the correct field wells. I drag them over, let go, and they scurry back to the data pane. Any suggestions or is this a glitch?
P.S. I am currently using the default Bing map, and it has accepted my lats and longs, but I'd prefer Mapbox.
Are they maybe coming over as text values?
It sounds like you're experiencing a challenge with Tableau and Mapbox integration when trying to plot latitude and longitude data from SQL in import mode. Here are a few suggestions to troubleshoot the issue:
Data Type Matching:
Field Well Placement:
Check for Null Values:
Mapbox Configuration:
Update Tableau and Mapbox:

Alternative Mapping Options:
Remember to save your work before making significant changes, and consider testing with a sample dataset to isolate the problem. If the problem persists, reaching out to Tableau support or consulting the Tableau community forums for more specific assistance could be beneficial.
