Geo Filter does not work on Android tablet 8.1
Hi All,
Does filtering via geo location works on Power Bi on Android tablets?
We have a Samsung tablets with Android 8.1 and the Geo Filter option does not appear on Power Bi.
It works on Android phone with Android 9
Could you please advise

Geolocation filtering is not available in Android tablets (only phone).

HI Michal_P ,
Have you test with other android devices? I'd like to confirm if this issue only appears on old version of android tablet.(official document hasn't mentioned the minimum version required of device system versions)

Hi Xiaoxin,
I have just tried on a phone with the same Adnroid version (8.1) and Geo Filter shows on it and works.
It looks like this feature does not work on Android tablets...
Could you confirm please

Thanks for explaining.
I wasn't aware about it as it states on PowerBi website as it works on Android phones and tablets as below:
"Why don't I see location tags on a report?
All three of these conditions need to be true, for you to see location tags.
- The person who created the report in Power BI Desktop categorized geographical data for at least one column, such as City, State, or Country/Region.
- You are in one of the locations that has data in that column.
- You're using one of these mobile devices:
- iOS (iPad, iPhone, iPod).
- Android phone or tablet.
- Windows 10 phone (other Windows 10 devices such as PCs and tablets don't support geographic filtering)."
I have created a user voice idea as suggested.
If anyone could vote on it, that would be great as this is a very usefull feature
