Renaming the connection for a mirrored SQL database
Hi,
in Fabric is it possible to rename a SQL Server connection already used for a Mirrored SQL database, without recreate the mirroring?
Many thanks
Hi pmscorca ,
Thanks for reaching out to the Microsoft fabric community forum.
In Microsoft Fabric, it isn’t possible to rename a SQL Server connection once it is being used by a mirrored SQL database. After the mirror is created, the connection becomes part of the mirroring configuration.
To apply new source details, you will need to create a new SQL connection and then set up a new mirrored database artifact using the updated configuration, as existing mirroring setups cannot be changed.
I hope this information helps. Please do let us know if you have any further queries.
Thank you
