"The field '' of the record wasn't found." - Data Refresh Error

We have a dashboard that is linked to a (1) dataflow and (2) a network drive on our in house datawarehouse gateway. When we try to initially refresh the data, we receive the below error:

The field '' of the record wasn't found.

Two oddities with this:

  1. The initial data refresh attempt fails, but the subsequent refreshes work. This implies we have to manually refresh the data in desktop and can't rely on a scheduled refresh.
  2. This error message appears to be assigned to a different query every time the error appears.
  3.

When our scheduled refresh fails, we receive the below error:

Failure details: The last refresh attempt failed because of an internal service error. This is usually a transient issue. If you try again later and still see this message, contact support.

Any thoughts on a fix? Thank you!

Hi @kamil947

What is the data source that related to your dashboard ? If you refresh the dashboard manually , can the dashboard refresh successfully ?

Hi @v-yetao1-msft

Thanks so much for the response. The data source that seems to be at the core of the issue is the network folder we're connected to. We have that same network folder connected to a on prem gateway for scheduled refreshes (which fails and that is the issue).

When I try to manually refresh in desktop, the first attempted refresh always fails. The second or third manual refresh is succesful. The error messages I receive are consistent, but are always shown under different queries

Have you seen anything like this before?
